Although this may look delicate, this dragon pin is actually built like a tank. Two tack pin posts keep it in place so it won't swivel around on you. American brass with a beautiful high-quality antiqued sterling silver plated finish. The breath plume is deep golden brass with prong-set blue rhinestones. The eyes are dazzling Swarovski Siam red crystal rhinestones. Photos do not do this pin justice!
This is a relatively heavy pin, so it's best worn on heavier fabrics or leather such as a coat or hat rather than on a light blouse. Come to think, it would also look pretty awesome climbing up a necktie. These are also really stunning pinned to a lampshade - oh, the shadows! - or fastening your curtain tie-backs. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. :-)
This is a good-sized little dragon, with a 4-3/4 inch wingspan; right wingtip to tail measures 4-1/2 inches. The body is about 4 inches from the tip of the fiery breath to the tip of the tail. The first three photos are of this exact pin - the last is of similar pin on my awesome vintage beaver top hat. Signed and numbered on the underside of it's left wing.
Hand crafted, by me, in my home studio in Tacoma, WA.
Boxed for Holiday gifting.
