This one is very chic, defying stylistic categorization. Like me, it doesn't like being boxed in. Victorian, Boho, Art Deco... you could wear this with any of those styles and it wouldn't look out of place. This one is crafted from substantial brass cable chain that I have inset with five-link sections of the same chain in solid copper for a glorious two-toned effect. The chain is inset with gemstone beads in smooth black onyx rounds, faceted carnelian teardrops, 12mm faceted black onyx rounds and faceted mookite teardrops. The chain is raw brass and copper - not plated - and made in America. I order it directly from the manufacturer and have it polished, so it is super bright and shiny and easy to keep bright, too.
This is a LONG lariat, measuring 58 inches long overall, with 45 inches of chain between the beaded end sections. Oh! those bead caps! are cast pewter with an antique gold finish. Graceful fluted cones, about 3/4 of an inch wide, very decorative, each with a faceted mookite teardrop nestled within its throat. Gold plated brass daisy and round spacer beads finish each gemstone bead; three copper chain links separate each beaded station. The overall length of the end dangles is about 6-1/4inches.
Total length: 58 inches
Chain length inside the beaded ends: 45 inches
Beaded end sections: 6-1/4 inches
(measurements are approximate)
The chain links measure 5.34 x 7.32 mm
Gemstone beads range from 4mm to 12mm in diameter.
The photos illustrate a few ways to wear this necklace - photographed on my faithful minion Victoria, life size if you are a 5'9", size 00-2 runway model. Victoria has a ridiculously swan-like neck, so three wraps around works for her. Wear it short, wear it long, whatever suits your fancy!
OR, wear it as a sah belt, around your head like a head band, wrapped around your pony tail elastic, or... use your imagination!
Hand crafted, by me, in my home studio in Tacoma, WA.
