Every single bit of this bracelet (except for the sparkles) is 100% American made brass. The bracelet is very thick & chunky (13mm x 20mm) vintage raw brass twisted rope-pattern curb chain that was probably intended for Designer purse handles back in the day - this stuff is super strong. It closes with a large brass lobster claw clasp.
Six raw brass leaves - dapped (not flat) for dimensional interest - have been drilled on alternating sides so they hang in book-matched pairs, and a four-prong brass setting was riveted to the center of each leaf. The leaves, the chain bracelet and the heavy brass jump rings that will hold it all together were then given a hand-applied bronze patina and polished to a high shine. Once everything was polished I assembled the bracelet and set the six 8mm vintage topaz glass rhinestone cabochons in the settings. Finally, the entire bracelet was sealed with a hand-rubbed application of museum-grade Renaissance Wax.
This substantial (it weighs 2 ounces!) bracelet measures about 8 inches long. I have a 7-inch wrist and as you can see in the photo it is a somewhat relaxed, comfortable fit; closing it at the next smaller link would make it about 1/2 inch shorter.
Hand crafted by me in my home studio in Tacoma, WA.
